These Terms of Service apply to your use of jackofjunk.com and to junk removal services provided by Jack of Junk (“we”, “us”). By using the website or booking a job, you agree to these terms.
Estimates and pricing
Prices shown on our website, ballpark quotes and online or AI-generated estimates are for planning only and are not binding offers. Your final, all-in price is based on the actual volume, weight and type of items and is confirmed by our crew on-site before work begins. You may decline at that point without charge.
Booking, rescheduling and cancellations
Arrival windows are estimates and can be affected by traffic, weather and earlier jobs; we’ll contact you if we’re running late. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please let us know as early as possible.
Your responsibilities
- You confirm that you own the items or are authorized to have them removed and disposed of.
- Remove anything you want to keep, plus personal documents and valuables, before we load. Once items are removed they may be donated, recycled or disposed of and generally cannot be recovered.
- Tell us about anything hazardous, very heavy or difficult to access.
- Disconnect appliances, gas, water and electrical connections, and drain hot tubs, before we arrive.
- Provide safe access to the items and a place for our truck to park.
Items we don’t accept
We do not remove hazardous materials, including paint, solvents, fuels, propane tanks, chemicals, asbestos, medical or biohazard waste, explosives or ammunition. We may decline any item we can’t safely or lawfully handle.
Payment
Payment is due when the job is complete unless we agree otherwise in writing. Some items carry recycling or disposal fees, which are included in your on-site price.
Property damage
We take care to protect your home and property. If you believe something was damaged during a job, please tell us within 48 hours with photos so we can make it right. We aren’t responsible for pre-existing damage or for damage caused by conditions we weren’t told about.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Website use
Website content is provided “as is” for general information. Don’t misuse the site, including by attempting to disrupt it, scraping it, or submitting false or abusive requests to our forms or estimator. We may limit or block access to protect the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Dallas County, Texas, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here when you book applies to your job.
