This Privacy Policy explains what information Jack of Junk (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit jackofjunk.com or book our junk removal services in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to quote and complete your job:
- Quote and booking details you send us: name, phone number, ZIP code, email (optional), preferred date and a description of your items.
- Load estimator inputs: the text you type or dictate and any photos you upload to get an estimate.
- Job details: your service address, notes about access, and payment records when you book with us.
- Technical data: like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and basic browser information when you load a page. We use IP addresses briefly to prevent abuse of our forms and estimator.
How we use it
- To respond to your quote request, schedule and complete your job, and take payment.
- To text or call you about your booking (arrival windows, updates).
- To produce an automated load estimate when you use the estimator.
- To keep our website secure and stop spam and abuse.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for targeted advertising.
The load estimator and AI
When you use “Describe it”, your description and photos are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to identify the items and their approximate volume. They are used only to produce your estimate and are not used by us for anything else unless you then send them with a quote request. Please don’t include photos of people or sensitive documents.
If you use the Speak button, speech-to-text is handled by your web browser (for example Google Chrome or Apple Safari), which may send the audio to the browser maker to transcribe it. We only receive the resulting text.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Website hosting and serverless functions (Vercel).
- AI estimate processing (Anthropic), only for estimator requests.
- Email delivery for quote notifications, and rate-limiting storage, if enabled.
- Payment processors, when you pay for a job.
- Fonts and site scripts loaded from Google Fonts and the jsDelivr CDN, which receive your IP address when they serve those files.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, customers or crew.
Cookies
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Our site may use your browser’s local storage for basic functionality, and our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies for security.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and job records for as long as needed to provide service, keep business and tax records, and resolve disputes, then delete or anonymize them. Estimator inputs are not stored by us after your estimate is returned.
Your choices

Children
Our services are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
